Solid bronze sculpture
27 x 9 cm
2018
Simple, elegant, honest and timeless design without unnecessary detail has always been my guiding principle.
There are no groundbreaking, fashionably current ideas to express. We occupy an archetypal place that is nevertheless just a flicker in history.
Work is visual. Shape, colour and texture have the power to alter our perception or simply uplift our mood. Objects are quintessential and often tactile. Process and erosion play their part.
I choose names with care to avoid them unduly influencing the viewer's interpretation, so they are free to channel their own associations and energy to form a bond with the sculpture.
