Peter is a self-taught artist from Salford. His acrylic paintings document a stark view of 21st century Britain in working class northern towns and cities with a hiraeth and hauntology of one who has witnessed the gradual social decline and increasing wealth disparity within them. His landscapes seem to be held in stasis; intentionally silent, still and atrophic, like unsettling backdrops to hazy memories of our hometowns.
His work has shown recently in major exhibitions across the UK from the RSA in Edinburgh to Mall Galleries in London.
