There is some sort of peace in the familiar things, in the common. I like to paint what surrounds me, I paint the beach how I see it everyday after my morning swim. I love to swim and I feel very connected to water. This is why I chose watercolors as my medium.
In my paintings, I want to cut the fluff. I guess watercolors have that: you cannot hide things, you cannot hide mistakes, you cannot fool the viewer. I do not like to add words to my paintings, a painting should speak for itself.
