Within my current practice I work with oil paint, I explore and experiment with the material language of painting, transparency and opacity, dense as well as fluid marks, to hover between abstraction and representation. The landscape becomes a structure through which colour, composition and gesture can operate with emotional immediacy.
Within this work, a theme of absence and silence are central. Human presence is implied but withheld, leaving spaces that feel contemplative, suspended, and quietly charged
