Bronze on wooden base
13 x 18 cm
2026
Helen studied sculpture at Wimbledon School of Art (1973 – 76) and has been a full-time self-employed sculptor since 1988 (indulging in drawing/painting when she can!)
She works in plaster, clay, wax, cardboard and reclaimed wood and makes much use of found debris from the beaches near her home. Her sculpture is cast in limited editions, in resin or bronze. With the help of a full-time technician, she does her own mould-making and resin casting. Her bronzes are cast in Pembrokeshire.
She exhibits widely throughout the UK and annually at the Chelsea Flower Show. She has work in private collections on five continents.
Helen was the President of the Society of Women Artists from 2021 – 2025.
She lives and works in Wales with her painter/sculptor husband Terry Ryall.
