Digital photographic collage on 100% cotton
95 x 129.5 cm
2025
Based in Dorset, Andy Carver is a photographer and botanical artist whose work explores the mutable language of nature and transformation. Rooted in close observation of the organic world, Carver’s practice bridges the tactile and the technological, the tangible and the ephemeral. His images transcend documentation, seeking instead to capture the shifting essence of identity, growth, and decay.
In his recent series, Morphology, Carver examines the intricate relationship between form and transformation — proposing that identity is not a fixed state, but a fluid continuum shaped by experience and perception. Using Brobdingnagian digital photographic prints, he merges organic materials with digital process to evoke metamorphosis and renewal. Each piece invites viewers to contemplate impermanence and the evolving connections between humanity and the natural environment.
Carver’s work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition & Artevol25 (shortlisted).
