I sculpt landscapes that I dream of exploring, I shape objects that I fantasise about discovering and I provoke phenomena that I aspire to contemplate. Scrutinising matter takes me to the edge of a metaphysical world, which I explore and try to bring back fragments of. These fragments are entities.
I am seeking a precarious balance between the sublime and the burlesque, the innocence and seriousness, the spiritual and the trivial. I explore a connection with the landscape and, by extension, with the natural world – a connection made complex by the ease with which anyone can access ever more spectacular images and exploit the Earth, simply for pleasure.
